Travis Scott sparks outrage as several concertgoers are turned away at rapper’s sold-out show in Sydney

Travis Scott fans have criticised the US rapper and show organisers after several concertgoers were turned away at his sold-out Sydney gig on Friday night.

Several disgruntled ticket holders who attended the gig, held at Allianz Stadium, vented their frustrations after a number of eager fans were denied entry over their choice of outfit.

Addressing the matter on Facebook group Tea Time, one attendee asked why people were refused entry into the concert, as the stadium doesn’t have a set dress code according to their conditions of entry.

‘Why are people getting turned away at Travis Scott for what they’re wearing?’ the poster asked. ‘Just curious that’s all.’

As one fan asked what they’d been wearing, the poster pointed out those denied entry had been dressed in ‘sport team jerseys and motorcycle patches’.

Wearing patches associated with motorcycle gangs are illegal in licensed premises in New South Wales.

In the comments, several other group members shared their experiences of getting into the concert.

A user claimed one ticket holder was ‘turned away for wearing all black’ clothing.

‘They mentioned something to him about no one in all black or striped jerseys?’ the fan added.

‘Yessss almost got turned away, literally wearing a green fake soccer jersey,’ another concertgoer shared.

‘Saw so many people being turned away????????’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted representatives at Allianz Stadium for comment.

US rapper Scott, 33, is currently on his Circus Maximus tour in Australia and kicked off his string of sold out shows in Sydney on Thursday, October 17.

The singer, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, touched down in Sydney via private jet just hours before his sold-out gig later that evening.

His arrival came as excitement ramped up for his performance at Allianz Stadium, with more than 40,000 in attendance at the first stop on his Australian tour.

Travis is expected to spend some free time in Sydney before heading travelling to Melbourne for a show at the Marvel Stadium on October 22.

He will then wrap things up on October 26 with his final Australian show at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.

Travis, who is the ex of Kylie Jenner, left some Aussies unimpressed when he revealed his list of concerts Down Under on his Circus Maximus world tour.

After revealing he would only be visiting Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and New Zealand, many fans were left fuming at having to travel to see him live.

Fans in Perth and Adelaide in particular were left disgruntled after he became the latest in a long line of global stars to skip over the Aussie cities on their tours.

‘What about Perth?’ one fan messaged the performer, while another added: ‘Typical [that] Perth gets left out.’

The US leg of Travis’ Circus Maximus World Tour has already earned the performer an eye-watering $27million, according to Perth Now.

Travis is not the first to skip over the WA capital while visiting Australia after Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift both failed to perform there.
