Singer Nessa Barrett breaks down in tears as she unleashes six-minute rant at critics

TikTok influencer and singer Nessa Barrett broke down in tears as she told critics to ‘shut the f**k up’ about her body weight and revealed that she was in recovery from her eating disorder.

The 22-year-old Die First hitmaker took to TikTok to unleash a fiery takedown of her haters in a six-minute clip.

The shocking video saw Nessa holding back tears as she noted that the hate comments were ‘insane’ and branded people on the web ‘ridiculous.’

The 22-year-old previously opened up about her struggles with food and mental health issues, having once told fans that she spent time in a ‘traumatizing’ psych ward.

Nessa’s plea for peace came after she sparked health concerns with her latest Elite Daily interview that sent fans questioning if she was struggling with an eating disorder again.

Having long battled anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder and an eating disorder, the worrisome interview caused fans to question if the star had gotten mixed up with drugs as they claimed she looked thinner than ever.

Nessa hit back at the claims as she insisted she is ‘in recovery’ and that ‘this s**t takes time.’

She noted that she has been dealing with an ‘immense amount of hate’ over the last several months and that her recent weight loss is due to ‘stress and anxiety.’

‘What the f**k is going on? Imagine how it feels to have thousands and thousands of people to say s**t about your life and about you and none of it is true.

‘I think I am starting to go insane,’ the singer said at the beginning of the video.

She then denied rumors that she was ‘on drugs’ as she said that the hate comments were ‘insane.’

‘I don’t touch that s**t and I don’t surround myself with people that touch that s**t,’ Nessa said as she revealed that the only medication she is on are her mood stabilizers and ‘occasionally’ ADHD medication.

The performer then moved onto the swirl of rumors surrounding her recent weight loss.

‘Everyone likes to constantly talk about my damn f**king weight and my body, shut the f**k up,’ she yelled as she covered her eyes with her hands.

The 22-year-old insisted that her recent weight loss was due to ‘stress and anxiety’ as she opened up about the pressures she was facing.

Nessa added: ‘I’ve been dealing with an immense amount of hate for like six months now. I had an album coming out. I was so stressed and anxious all the time I started losing weight, and then everyone started to comment on it.

‘Before I could even notice, because of everyone’s comments, it manifested in my eating disorder.’

The star noted that those who ‘love’ her have ‘pushed’ her into recovery.

‘I’m recovering. I’m getting better. I’ve been in recovery for two weeks now, and everyone is constantly still commenting about how sick I am.

‘This s**t takes time, and there’s going to be moments — I’m going to deal with it for the rest of my life, so stop talking about it whenever I start to struggle again. That’s just life,’ the 22-year-old.

Nessa then hit back against fans and critics who claimed to know her as she insisted ‘you guys just don’t know anything.’

She added: ‘It’s so insane how 2D social media is, but you have never known me, no matter how much you think you do. You will never know.’

‘How could you expect anyone to get better when this is like constantly thrown at your face? Let’s just stop speculating, maybe, and let me be.

‘Also like, I’m a 22-year-old woman. I have my s**t figured out, like, I can handle myself. I’m sick of being treated like a baby.

‘I’m fine, and I’m healing, and all these f***king stupid a** comments about how f***king different I look. Yeah, weights gonna do that to you. Oh, I’m growing up. Age is gonna do that to you. And, yeah, I got my f***king nose done. So f***king what,’ Nessa said.

At the end of the clip, she noted that she believed people were using her candidness about her mental health ‘against’ her and said that she ‘loved life’ now after ‘struggling with my weight for a hot minute.’

Two years ago, she opened up about her experience in a psych ward, which came after the death of her friend and fellow influencer Cooper Noriega, who died at 19.

The influencer and songstress was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder or BPD when she was 18 and later revealed she suffered from an eating disorder as a result.

Nessa, originally from New Jersey, rose to fame by posting lip-syncing videos to TikTok and later moved to California to pursue a singing career.

The influencer acquired over 26 million followers on both TikTok and Instagram and gained widespread recognition for her music, but the social media star has been determined to remain authentic with her fans as she frequently details her struggles with mental health.
