Now the cold weather’s here how do you stay smart – and cosy – at the office?

From layering to picking the right fabrics, here’s my winter workwear guide.

Start with the basics – a stylish thermal top is your saviour. Uniqlo’s Heattech range includes a made-to-be-seen high-neck cashmere-blend top, £19.90. 

Me+Em has lace-trim cotton vests and merino cashmere jumpers with a detachable snood. Or layer an M&S off-the-shoulder knit over a shirt and tie in the same colour.

A 100 per cent wool wide-legged pair can be worn with boots when commuting, and heels or smart flats at the office.

If dresses are more you, Karen Millen’s midaxi style in merino wool with silk cuffs is perfect. Wear with Duo knee-high boots which come in eight calf sizes to ensure a perfect fit.
