Rare footage of Barron Trump shows the president-elect’s son in one of his earliest television interviews as he shares his simple wish ahead of his third birthday. 

Released by Entertainment Tonight, the near two-minute clip shows the now 18-year-old being lovingly held by his mother Melania at a 2009 charity event. 

In the video, a reporter can be heard asking the youngest Trump about his favorite toys, to which Barron responds: ‘I like to play drums.’

‘You want to have drums?’ a then 39-year-old Melania asks her only child as she cradled him in her arms. 

‘What will you have for your birthday?’ she prompted. 

Young Barron then told his mother ‘I want like on the television drums,’ as he pointed in the distance. 

Melania then shared with reporters how her son loves to play the drums and that maybe her adorable boy will be gifted a set of ‘big drums’.

Elsewhere in the footage, the pair were seen on a red carpet with a backdrop donning The Society of Memorial Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center logo. 

The 2009 event marked the second time Donald Trump’s wife hosted the charity event aimed to raise funds to help children battling cancer.

‘I think it is an amazing event, an amazing charity. We are raising a lot of money for unfortunate children and it is for a hospital so we are very happy to be here and Barron will have a great time,’ Melania said of the event. 

The pair were followed by a camera throughout the event, with a sharply-dressed Barron seen playfully walking around. 

He was styled in a tailored tan suit along with a white scarf tied perfectly around his neck. 

It comes as social media users have become increasingly obsessed with the young bachelor. 

Though the 18-year-old New York University student has successfully stayed out of the spotlight for most of his life, recently resurfaced videos have catapulted the youngest Trump heir into an online sensation. 

Several clips of younger Barron have been circulating on social media, including one showing Barron aged just 10 months as he accompanied his father at an award ceremony in Los Angeles.

The 2007 clip showed baby Barron held tightly in his father’s arms as the President-elect was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

‘See, that’s Barron,’ Trump told spectators. ‘He’s strong, he’s smart, he’s tough, he’s vicious, he’s violent – all of the ingredients you need to be an entrepreneur.

‘And most importantly, hopefully he’s smart, because smart is really the ingredient. So Barron, good luck – you have a long way to go.’

Trump then tried to leave the podium but was held up for a second as baby Barron refused to let go of the microphone.

The president-elect joked, ‘uh oh, he won’t give up the mic’, prompting laughs from the crowd.

Another clip from when Barron was just four years old has social media users even more ‘obsessed’ with the six-foot-nine bachelor.

The 2010 clip, an interview was filmed for a special on Larry King Live that Donald and his mom, Melania, did showed Barron getting ready to go to school for the first time.

‘I have to go to school now?’ he asks his mother, speaking with a thick Slovenian accent. 

Melania then told the youngster: ‘Yes, first you will have lunch and then you’ll go to school.’

‘You can do reading, writing, and arithmetic,’ his dad chimes in.

Fans have since pondered the college student’s precarious accent as one X user pointed out that the notoriously private teenager used to have a Slovenian accent.

‘This obsession with Barron is hilarious,’ the X user captioned the clip, which has now been viewed nearly one million times.

‘He had a Slovenian accent,’ one shocked user replied.

‘Does Barron speak with a Slovenian accent even though he was born and raised in New York because of Melania? That’s pretty funny,’ someone else wrote.

‘The fact that he has a Slovenian accent is sending me,’ another user added.

‘That’s so adorable,’ a fourth comment read. ‘He sounds like his mom. You can tell she was a very involved mother.’

A fifth said, ‘My regard for Melania was a mother just went through the roof.’ 

It appears as though Barron doesn’t have the accent anymore, as another viewer responded with a more recent clip of him speaking. 

Barron was by his father’s side at his victory rally after it was revealed that he had beat Kamala Harris and would become the 47th president of the United States.

It’s been reported that Barron is six-foot-nine feet tall, and that his dad does his best to avoid being snapped too close to him to avoid unflattering comparisons.
