Rocky Flintoff has featured for his father Andrew’s England Lions side after being handed a late call-up to the squad in South Africa.
The 16-year-old was surprisingly named in the team having been promoted from the England Under-19 squad.
The England Lions are currently playing a four-day match against a South Africa A side at the Wally Wilson Oval in Rondebosch.
Flintoff featured in the middle order for the England Lions, who conceded a 133-run deficit to South Africa.
The teenager scored four runs, before being bowled third ball by South Africa’s Matthew Boast.
Flintoff’s inclusion, however, continues his impressive progress having only made his first-class debut for Lancashire back in August.

The England Lions are now coached by his father Andrew, who was appointed in September
He has scored 32 in his maiden first-class innings for Lancashire against Surrey, becoming the 10th-youngest debutant ever in the County Championship
Flintoff was given his first professional contract by Lancashire during the summer and has now played four first-class matches and seven list A matches.
He had gained attention earlier this year by scoring a ton against Warwickshire in a second XI match in April, while he also scored a match winning century for the England Under-19s in July.
The England Lions tour of South Africa is the first since his father Andrew was confirmed as coach.
The former England hero was appointed on an initial 12-month contract in September.
Flintoff, a hero of England’s 2005 Ashes triumph, has been working with the England Lions on their red and white-ball skills.
The tour officially began on November 20 and concludes at the end of the four-day match against South Africa.
England fast bowler Mark Wood has been continuing his rehabilitation with the Lions squad.
Wood will return home today having spent seven days working with the Lions squad.
