Susan Sarandon’s daughter Eva Amurri has revealed a surprising detail about how the Oscar-winning actress raised her.
The 39-year-old actress told parenting magazine She Knows that her mom, 78, was hyper-health-conscious during her childhood.
Amurri, whose father is Italian director Franco Amurri, said her mother was so strict that she thought Cheerios were ‘junk food.’
‘My mom was a tried and true almond mom,’ she emphasized, referring to the term used to describe mothers who impose restrictive eating habits onto their children.
‘She actually used to walk down to the Village to the only organic grocery store that existed in New York City in the early ’80s and would get everything there,’ the influencer added.
She emphasized, ‘My mom thought Cheerios [were] a junk food — that is how almond mom she was.’
