Gracie Abrams fans left furious over ‘completely unjustifiable’ cost of concert tickets for US tour dates

Gracie Abrams has left her fans with a sour taste in their mouths with her ‘unjustifiable’ ticket prices for the second US leg of her tour.

It was announced earlier this week that the 25-year-old Close To You singer would be performing more dates across the country next summer as part of her The Secret of Us deluxe tour.

Kicking off on July 23 in Boston, Gracie will also play shows in Toronto, New York City, California, and Colorado.

She’ll then wrap things up on August 26 and August 27 in Mexico City.

Shortly after Gracie announced her shows, however, fans discovered in the pre-sale that two VIP tickets at Madison Square Garden would set them back an eye-watering $648.40.

Fans of the singer – who is the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath – were furious by the ‘absurd’ ticket prices and expressed their outrage on social media.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one slammed: ‘There is not a single Gracie Abrams song worth paying $700 to hear live.’

Another vented: ‘Gracie Abrams tickets for $700 is completely unjustifiable, that girl is not famous enough to be making her prices that high. I’m sorry Gracie ily but what.’

‘There’s not a single concert that is worth paying $700 for,’ wrote a third.

Echoing a similar sentiment, another said: ‘This isn’t even like shade towards her there are very few artists y’all should be willing to pay $700 to see.’

‘No concert tickets should ever reach $700 tbh it’s just absurd,’ added a fifth.

‘I don’t think there are any songs worth $700 to see live,’ a sixth penned.

Another posted: ‘Even $70 is too much. What are we doing here?’

After the presale sign-ups closed, fans had a chance to secure tickets to all tour dates during the general public sale, which opened on December 13.

StyleCaster reported Ticketmaster had set the price of Gracie’s shows from $69 to $263, with VIP packages ranging from $530 to $648.

While her New York dates have now sold out, individual tickets for her Madison Square Garden performances are being resold on Stub Hub for $436 or more.

Grace’s The Secret of Us tour initially kicked off on September 5 in Portland, Oregon, before wrapping in the states in Philadelphia on October 15.

Her concerts are set to continue in February 2025, when she will begin the European leg in Madrid, Spain.

She previously served as the opening act for Taylor Swift during her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Last month, Taylor revealed she and Gracie lost their cool after learning their track, Us, was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2025 Grammys.

While on stage in Toronto, the pop star, 34, recalled her emotional reaction to finding out that their track earned a nod from The Recording Academy.

‘The Eras Tour has been going on about a year and a half now, and so, a lot of life can happen in the phase of that tour and a lot of art can happen in the course of that tour,’ she recalled to the crowd.

‘I think you’ll remember the genius brilliant young lady you saw earlier tonight, Gracie Abrams. So, story time, Gracie was opening up for me a year ago on the Eras Tour.’

She continued: ‘We had so many fun memories during that tour, one of which we were celebrating her getting nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys, we had, like, eleventy-hundred Cosmos, went back to my house and just started writing a song.’

The Fortnight hitmaker went on to gush that the track, Us, off Gracie’s album The Secret of Us got ‘nominated for a Grammy.’

‘You can’t even imagine, like, the phone call between the two of us when the nominations came out and we saw that song was nominated,’ she explained.

‘It was just screeching. It wasn’t even words, it was just feral screeching for the entire call.’
