A Chemist Warehouse employee has revealed a $16 ‘dupe’ of a wildly popular US skincare brand, which costs almost six times as much.
Retail manager Jess, from Melbourne, broke the news to shoppers about Palmer’s Brazilian Coco Whipped Body Cream arriving in stores.
She compared the pharmacy’s dermatologist-approved moisturiser to Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, which sells for $75 a tub at Mecca Australia.
‘You need to check out the latest dupe of that is already flying off the shelves at Chemist Warehouse,’ Jess said in a video.
‘Palmer’s have launched a Brazilian Coco Whipped Body Cream, which looks very similar to the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum cream.
‘It has a luxurious whipped texture that feels silky and ultra-hydrating. And it has its own unique aroma – think decadent, tropical coconut, which is perfect for summer.
‘So you know the drill – run, don’t walk.’
Jess said the smooth, lightweight formula ‘smells amazing’ as she pointed out the key benefits of using the body lotion.

‘It has many benefits such improving the appearance of skin firmness, cellulite, and skin texture,’ she added.
The cream has been clinically proven to visibly firm and tone the skin*.
In an independent clinical study conducted by Palmer’s, 98 per cent of participants saw visibly improved skin firmness, 94 per cent saw reduced appearance of cellulite, 96 per cent saw visibly smoother, less dimpled texture and 98 per cent saw tighter and firmer skin in problem areas.
Shoppers who got their hands on the Palmer’s body cream revealed it’s ‘the best stuff’- with many saying they can’t get enough of the ‘holy grail’ formula.
The moisturiser has a ‘luxurious, whipped texture’ that leaves skin feeling silky and hydrated
‘It smells absolutely heavenly. Easily absorbed into the skin without any sticky residue. It visually improves hydration and firms the skin. Love it,’ one said.
‘Coconut heaven in a jar. The smell is amazing. So if you love coconut, lather it up on your body and the smell lasts a long time… My body feels silky smooth and it’s non greasy which is a bonus,’ another shared.
‘If you’re looking for the ultimate indulgence for your skin, this cream is for you. The whipped texture is luxuriously light, yet super hydrating. It absorbs into your skin quickly without feeling greasy, leaving a soft, silky finish. The tropical coconut fragrance is divine – not too overpowering,’ one added.
