A furious resident of a ritzy suburb has blasted pet owners for discarding bags of dog poo in her rubbish bin.
The resident lives in the affluent suburb of Ascot, in Brisbane’s north-east, and found five bags with dog faeces inside her bin when she collected it on Wednesday.
She had left it on the kerb the night before so it could be emptied by the garbage collectors the following morning.
She took to Facebook to express her disgust over the act and slammed those who discarded the bags of dog poo for disrespecting her property.
‘Locals passing by and [are] discarding their poo in my bin,’ the anonymous resident wrote.
‘This is unfair for locals to dump this in my bin.’
The resident said to make matters worse she discovered the bags on the day she was heading off on holidays for four months.
She complained it would’ve been ‘gross’ if the bags were left inside the bins for that long without being collected until she returned.

‘The problem is we are now heading to the airport for a 4pm flight … [we] will not be putting our bins out,’ she wrote.
‘It’s unfair for me to pop it in a neighbours bin. Please take your dogs poo home to your own bin.
‘This is not right, to leave others to deal with it … It’s your dog’s poop, you deal with discarding it.’
Dozens of social media users poked fun at the resident for whinging.
‘Hang on, you went scrambling down into the bottom of a smelly old wheelie bin to fish out five plastic bags and opened each to see what was in them?’ one wrote.
Others said they didn’t agree with the resident’s argument that it was unfair for pet owners to dump dog faeces in their bin.
‘It’s dog s**t. in a bag. I’m sure much worse goes in there,’ one person wrote.
‘Yes it is inconvenient, but better than stepping in poop on your doorstep,’ another person wrote.
The resident said she was forced to ask her neighbour to place the bin outside the following week so it could be emptied when the garbage collectors came next week.
She said they found the comments to her post unacceptable.
‘I’m really disappointed at the responses, discard of your own pet faeces,’ she wrote.
Ascot is one of the most prestigious suburbs in Brisbane and it is located less than seven kilometres from the CBD.
The median price of a home in the area is $2.4million according to figures by real estate website Domain.
