Kristin Cavallari is ‘frustrated’ and ‘disappointed’ by her ex-husband Jay Cutler’s DUI and gun possession arrest, insiders have exclusively revealed to the DailyMail.com.
The former NFL star, 41, was arrested in Tennessee on Thursday, after being pulled over for allegedly driving under the influence with two firearms in his vehicle, including a loaded pistol, according to a police report obtained by DailyMail.com.
Cutler was released from Williamson County Jail later that day after posting a $5,000 bond.
According to a source, Cutler always ‘marches to the beat of his own drum’, adding that ‘Kristin has been on good terms with him but this is just disappointing.’
‘She will talk about it on her podcast, but she sees it as a black eye and hates now that she has to be present for it and answer to it,’ they shared.

The source added that Cutler is always ‘going to do what he wants to do,’ hinting it had a major part in their marriage breaking down.
‘That won’t change which was a main reason for them breaking up in the first place,’ they added.
An insider shared that Cavallari had thought her ex-husband was ‘for the most part okay’, and she didn’t expect this to happen.
‘Now that it has, they are going to have some talks about where his head is at, if he needs help or if this was one unfortunate incident,’ they explained.
‘Sure she is happy nobody is hurt or worse but it is just frustrating that she has to deal with Jay’s trouble,’ they said.
The source continued, ‘There is no world where this should have happened in Kristin’s mind but now that it has, they will deal with it and she only can hope for the best, but it isn’t a good look at all.’
Cutler, who spent 12 seasons in the NFL, most notably as the starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears, reportedly hasn’t had the career post football that he envisioned.
‘If he was still able to play, he would do it in a heartbeat,’ the source said confidently.

‘But now he is just in his early forties, stuck in his ways, he would like to coach or be a commentator and be back in the NFL but that is currently not in the cards and this recent DUI incident doesn’t do him any favors,’ they pointed out.
‘He’s upset that it has gotten to this point but he is hoping it goes away as fast as it has presented itself.’
Cutler and Cavallari, 37, were married for nearly 10 years before finalizing their divorce in 2022. They share three children: Camden, 11, Jaxon, 9, and Saylor, 8.
Earlier this month, Kristin hinted that she’s gained more custody of her three children since the divorce.
Back in 2020, the couple initially agreed to split custody every other week.
‘That’s changed [in the last year],’ Kristin revealed Monday on her Dear Media podcast Let’s Be Honest.
‘I’m really happy and really content having my life right now being about my kids and work. Happiness for me is peace, and peace for me is making this home exactly how I want it.’
