‘When you’ve gone through all of these abusive relationships, you get to do the healing and then you get comfortable being on your own. I got to a point where I was like, “Maybe I’m just going to always be on my own, just me and Xaya and I’m coo with that.” But now my heart is full.’

Taking to her Instagram stories, Malin told how smoke began to billow out of her car while she was driving along a dual carriageway with the youngster, two.

Erring on the side of caution, Malin told how she and Xaya rapidly exited the vehicle, only for it to catch fire and blow up just moments later.

Writing a message on her stories, she penned: ‘This morning I was driving with Xaya and my car started smoking out of nowhere.

‘I took me Xaya out and ran down the side of the dual carriageway in time and it blew up and caught fire minutes later.’

The beauty went on to say how she was ‘in shock’ and will be taking some time away from social media, with a pal dealing with all enquiries.

She added: ‘In shock, staying off here and @erintidey will answer emails or anything needed work wise. Me and Xaya are safe and sound.’

Following her ordeal, Malin expressed her shock that she and her daughter were sop close to death, revealing that she now wants ‘answers’ from the car manufacturer.

She told The Sun: ‘I’m not usually affected by stuff, right? I’ve had the grief and all of that stuff happen to me, and I’ve kind of dealt with it, but never anything that’s put my own life with my daughter at risk. We were seconds from death.

‘It’s always been someone around me died, does that make sense? But to feel Xaya and me in that situation was just next level. But I can’t believe that they’d allow a car like that on the road, a hundred thousand pound car. I want answers.’

Malin, who only had her car serviced two months ago, went on to recall how she was initially made aware of a problem when she was alerted to an ‘engine failure’ warning.

Her instincts had kicked as she smelt smoke while driving along, with the TV star instantly stopping her car, throwing her daughter onto her back and fleeing from her daughter.

She added to the publication that as she was running, she was spotted by an ex soldier called Pete, who swooped into help and bundled the mother and daughter into his own car for safety.

Malin told how she was left ‘gobsmacked’ as she looked back on her car and saw it up in flames.

On how her daughter reacted, she added: ‘She didn’t understand what was going on, and she started crying, and then she was screaming, and then I was crying and shaking, and she was just going, mummy breathe, mummy breathe in.’

Furious at what happened, Malin went on to explain that she headed down to the BMW garage that night to ‘demand answers’, with BMV reportedly ‘investigating the matter’.

MailOnline contacted representatives of Malin for comment.

Meanwhile, a MBW representative told MailOnline: ‘We understand that this must have been a distressing experience for the customer involved and BMW takes any incident involving its vehicles very seriously.

‘Although vehicle fires are rare, they can stem from a multitude of causes, including external factors. It is crucial to thoroughly investigate the individual case to determine the root cause accurately.

‘Whenever BMW UK becomes aware of such incidents involving our vehicles, our technical inspectors are made available to support vehicle insurers in establishing the root cause. Until this has been determined, we are unable to comment further.’
