Matt Gaetz’ wife Ginger posted an image of her husband along with Argentinian President Javier Milei at Mar-a-Lago and wrote that ‘strong men create good times.’
Her missive, which she posted on Elon Musk’s X platform, comes after former President Donald Trump upended Washington with his announcement that he would nominate the Florida lawmaker to be attorney general.
Senate Republicans were shocked by the move, and some of them even suggesting they might withhold their support, which would constitute a rare break with their party leader.
That sparked speculation that Trump might try to do an end-run around the Senate, which the Constitution empowers to provide ‘advice and consent’ for nominations, by installing Gaetz and other controversial nominees through ‘recess’ appointments.
‘Strong men create good times,’ she wrote, tagging her husband, Millei, and conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who were all photographed together.
Ginger’s online support for her husband came after a woman reportedly testified to the House Ethics Committee that Gaetz had sex with her when she was 17 years old.
Gaetz had been the subject of a lengthy House Ethics Committee probe for alleged drug use and sexual misconduct.

He suddenly resigned his seat on Wednesday when Trump announced he was his choice to be the nation’s top law enforcement officer.
The Ethics panel traditionally drops its probes when it loses jurisdiction when a lawmaker leaves Congress.
Before the departure, the panel was prepared to vote to release its report on Friday, Punchbowl News and the New York Times reported.
Also featured in Gaetz’ post was conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Millei, a flamboyant right wing populist who calls himself an ‘anarcho-capitalist,’ was swept into power last year and has been compared to Trump.

He breezed into Mar-a-Lago Thursday, and praised Trump during a gala at the president’s private Florida club.
‘The world is a much better place, and the winds of freedom are blowing much stronger,’ he said at the America First Policy Institute party.
He called Trump’s election ‘the greatest political comeback in all of history, defying the political establishment even at the risk to his own life.’
He also praised Trump ally Musk, who is setting up a new ‘Department of Government Efficiency’ at Trump’s request that will exist outside of government and recommend slashing cuts.
There is a Conservative Political Action Conference Investor Summit at the club Friday.
Trump met with Millei, his first foreign leader visit since being reelected, the AP reported.
The club has been a hive of activity as Trump sorts through cabinet picks.
