Roy Keane believes a move away from Man United can BENEFIT Marcus Rashford after his latest snub… as he praises Ruben Amorim for ‘putting down a marker’ to axed stars by leaving them out of derby

A move away from Marcus Rashford would suit him, believes Roy Keane, after the English striker’s future was thrown into greater doubt as he was left out of Manchester United’s squad to face Man City.

Rashford struggled in midweek against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League and Amorim made the bold call to leave his £325,000-a-week attacker out entirely for the trip to play Pep Guardiola’s City side.

For Keane, who has been a notable critic of Rashford, there is a growing sense that an exit could suit all parties.

‘Quality is not enough,’ he told Sky Sports.

‘Quality in terms of picking moments in a game and recently [he’s] not been that great. It might be an end but let’s not be writing him off he’s just been left out the squad. It doesn’t look good for him.

‘I feel a move for Marcus is definitely going to suit the plater, a new challenge.

‘Whatever your talent at a big club, if your attitude is not quite right, and his certainly hasn’t been recently, I think it’s probably good to part ways.’
